AZ Tax Credit Information
You may receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against AZ state taxes owed by donating to the following qualified organizations. It is also a deduction on your federal return, so it is possible to save more money than you actually donated. (Prior to making a contribution, check with your tax advisor to make sure you qualify!)
Charitable Tax Credit
for donations to organizations that provide help to the working poor.
- $200 max for single filers
- $400 for joint

Public and Charter Schools
- $200 limit for single filers
- $400 for joint filers

School Tuition Tax Credit
- $500 limit for single filers
- $1000 limit for married filers
Saver's Tax Credit
If you make contributions to a workplace retirement plan or IRA, and your income falls within the ranges shown in the chart below, then you may be eligible for a credit of up to $1,000. For qualified married filers, they can each qualify for the credit.
